Jumping, Not Running

Dino Jump flips the usual dinosaur game on its side — literally. Instead of sprinting across a desert, your dino bounces endlessly upward through the clouds. Steer left and right to land on platforms; every bounce carries you higher, and the height counter is your score. Fall past the bottom of the screen and the run is over.

Platform Types

  • Green — solid and safe. Your bread and butter.
  • Orange — slides side to side. Time your landing.
  • Brown — crumbles the moment you touch it. Never plan a route through one.
Wrap around: the screen edges connect — exit left, reappear right. High-level play uses the wrap constantly to reach platforms that look impossible.

Tips for a Higher Climb

  1. Steer in the air, not on landing. Start drifting toward your next platform at the top of each bounce.
  2. Center your landings. Edge landings on moving platforms often slide out from under you.
  3. Look up, not down. Falling feels scary, but your next platform is always above.
  4. Use small corrections. Holding a direction too long overshoots — feather the keys like the pros do in our high-score guide.

Dino Jump suits short sessions — a run takes a minute or two, which also makes it a favourite in our dinosaur games for kids roundup. When you want ground under your feet again, head back to the T-Rex Runner, race the Dino Run challenge, or glide through the Flying Dinosaur Game.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you play Dino Jump?

Your dinosaur bounces automatically — you only steer. Use the left/right arrow keys on desktop, or tap the left/right half of the screen on mobile, to land on platforms and climb as high as possible.

What happens if I fall in Dino Jump?

If the dino drops past the bottom of the screen, the run ends. Your height becomes your score, and your best height is saved in your browser.

What do the orange and brown platforms do?

Orange platforms slide horizontally, so time your landing. Brown platforms break as soon as you touch them — treat them as gaps, not stepping stones.

Can I move through the sides of the screen?

Yes — the edges wrap around. Exiting the left side brings you back on the right, which is a key trick for reaching distant platforms.

Is Dino Jump good for kids?

Very much so: one-finger controls, no time pressure and no scary content make it one of the most kid-friendly dinosaur games on the site.
